Unappealing is the 2nd EP from Emo Trio, Treehouse, with members hailing from Slough, London & Southampton, this release comes nearly 3 years after the Debut EP, Thanks For Nothing/Thanks For Everything.
Treehouse consists of Max Whitby (Guitar) Billy Young (Drums/Vocals) & Dominic James (Bass/Vocals) Dom joined the band officially in the summer of 2019 after he joined on bass for an upcoming tour following his previous band Scarecrow Boat coming to an end.
The 4 tracks delve into themes of Mental Health, desperation and worthlessness, and once amalgamated, the title Unappealing was agreed.
When rehearsing the tracks, the trio noticed a change from their original twinkly, almost pop like emo tracks following in the footsteps of Nai Harvest, to a more full on, honest and basic stab at a blend of old school and current emo, such as Pianos Become The Teeth and Seahaven.
The post-hardcore band’s latest is a reflection on time, memory, death, and grief—and is their dreamiest material to date. Bandcamp Album of the Day Mar 22, 2019
